The Greatest of These...Love...
For more than a century, United Church of Christ congregations and individual members have blessed The Christmas Fund with their generosity, displaying that love surpasses all—especially when we give. Every year, The Christmas Fund provides vital support to our UCC community, including emergency assistance for active and retired clergy and lay employees, as well as Christmas "Thank You" gift checks each December for retirees in need and their families.
In 2025, our Christmas Fund community continued to strengthen The Christmas Fund’s ministry of compassion, and we raised a total of $1.7 million. This allowed us to give $211,975 in the form of emergency assistance and $253,500 in Christmas “Thank You” gift checks.
These gifts of love demonstrate our appreciation for those who have faithfully served the church and who now find themselves in times of great need. Thank you for embodying the message of “The Greatest of These…Love” with your gifts to The Christmas Fund.

Earl Grey Cranberry Cake
Welcome to another edition of Sean’s Sweets. This cake is special as I first made it for Ruth of Ruth’s Recipes to celebrate her retirement. While the glaze is optional, I hope that the combination of Earl Grey, orange, and cranberry can evoke the warmth of fall (or even Thanksgiving!).
